Resorts World Manila and Nuffnang PH hold 1st Bloggers’ Poker Tourney for Charity

Resorts World Manila (RWM), in partnership with Nuffnang Philippines, the country’s leading blog advertising community, recently organized and hosted the first ever Bloggers’ Poker Tournament and charity event dubbed “Play It Forward” with the Philippines’ top bloggers in attendance.
Nuffnang Philippines bloggers required no buy-in for the fun poker tournament with a number of first timers receiving tutorials from the RWM gaming staff. Thirty-eight bloggers battled it out for the benefit of their chosen charities and a grand prize comprising an overnight stay at the luxurious all-suite Maxims Hotel, dinner at award-winning French restaurant Impressions as prepared by Mâitres Cuisinier de France and Executive chef Cyrille Soenen, free airfare tickets and a Star Cruises Asian getaway aboard MS SuperStar Gemini for two. Four other bloggers also won for themselves an overnight stay at MAXIMS Hotel and dinner at IMPRESSIONS for two.
Looking to strengthen ties between RWM and Nuffnang Philippines while promoting the sport of poker locally, the tournament also donated proceeds as raised through sponsorships to the winning bloggers’ chosen charity institutions.
Celebrity blogger Divine Lee emerged as the grand winner of the tournament with her chosen charity Childhaus Center for Health Improvement and Life Development. Runners-up included Charles Tiu, Renren Ritualo, Winslow Co, and Mike Swift.
“The 1st Bloggers Poker Tournament aims to build a strong camaraderie between Resorts World Manila and our local bloggers who can showcase the many offerings we have as an integrated resort,” shared RWM Director for Corporate Communications Owen Cammayo. “Through Nuffnang Philippines and our blogger friends, we believe that we can reach out to more people about all the thrills that only Resorts World Manila can deliver, while also being able to give back to the community for our own corporate social responsibility objectives,” he added.
