State-of-the art Marriot Grand Ballroom set to open at Pasay’s Newport City

Set to open formally on July 1, 2015, the brand new Marriott Grand Ballroom is the country’s largest convention center with 8,000 square meters of function space, six VIP sky boxes, and a main ballroom that boasts a 3,000 square meter, pillarless venue that can easily accommodate 4,000 guests for concert events and 2,500 for banquet set-up.
The facility is a first of its kind and is set to redefine the Philippine MICE Industry (Meetings, Incentives, Conventions and Exhibitions), a brilliant addition to RWM sprawling 14-hectar integrated resort property.
In anticipation of more visitors and as part of its long term plan, RWM will increase its hotel capacity to approximately 4,200 rooms in the next four years from the existing 1,226 rooms, with the on-going construction of extensions to the Marriott and Maxims Hotels, and the development of new hotels — Hilton Manila Hotel, Sheraton Hotel Manila, and Belmont Hotel among others.
