Watch Jon’s WTF! at Resorts World Manila before you cast that ballot

Chances are people who already saw Jon Santos’s hilarious new show HuGot Your Vote: WTF! Wala Talagang Forever (sa Malacañang) at Resorts World Manila have already made up their minds on who to vote for in the upcoming national elections.

With Jon’s freshest quips on Philippine “presidentiables” and trending current events, the show offers some laugh-out-loud insights that somehow tend to make audiences reflect on who would best run the country starting next year.

“I think the people I play know that imitation is flattery,” Jon shared. “They also know that they get spoofed because they’re famous”.

From P-Nyoy’s lament on bidding Malacañang Palace farewell, to Senator Miriam the Defensive Defender addressing Miss Universe Pia Horseback’s comments regarding the US bases in the country, to Grace Foe’s retaliation against her bashers FPJ style, Jon humorously shares his take on what is really happening around us with the audience.

“The show was much needed. With all the bad news out there, to see a funny take on the whole thing was great,“ said multi-awarded automotive journalist James Deakin after watching the show. “He (Jon) makes you think. I already know how precious a vote is and he reinforces that as well which is a good takeaway,” he added.

Another celebrity who pondered on who to vote for after watching WTF! is TV show host Dr. Nielsen Donato. “It was very interesting because the elections are coming very soon. What Jon showed was the reality of who we are going to vote for,” he said. “He urges you to think. It might be funny but at the same time it does influence who we’re going to vote for.”

For fellow entertainers like Ms. Lou Bonnevie, Jon’s WTF! show is a total stress reliever from a busy day’s work. “Awesome! I actually thought Jon was Erap. He really got it!” she said with much enthusiasm. “It’s also nice to see Jon as himself at the end of the show,” she added.  “In a way there’s a lot of truth in it. It’s comedy with substance.”

Also commenting on Jon’s new show and material was no less than the master impersonator himself, Mr. Willie Nepomuceno, who Jon considers one of his mentors. ““Even when Jon was starting, I already saw how industrious he is. He is a ‘theater man’. He’s the man,” said Nepomuceno. “It’s a tough job and Jon works very hard at everything he does-- from the creativity, the artistry, and the performance itself. Well done.”

For Jon himself, there’s only one incentive that gives him all the energy and wit he needs for a great performance. “The objective is to create a good show. It really stops there. To give them one and a half to two hours of relief from stress. No other agenda is equally important than just showing them a really good time,” he shared.

With new material that is as relevant as today’s news, Jon continues to send audiences into hysterics at the Ceremonial Hall of the Marriott Grand Ballroom in Resorts World Manila with shows on March 4, 5, and 6 and April 16 and 17.

Tickets are now available at the RWM Box Office and all TicketWorld outlets. Visit www.rwmanila.com or call 908-8000 loc. 7700 and 891-9999 for more information on show schedules.
