Newport World Resorts’ Academy for Leisure and Tourism opens over 200 scholarship opportunities

Newport World Resorts’ Academy for Leisure and Tourism (ALT) is opening over 200 scholarship opportunities this year across its training programs in Food and Beverage Services and the newly launched Housekeeping program. The initiative aims to open more pathways into the hospitality industry and welcome more aspiring hospitality professionals.

Under the scholarship program, qualified applicants may be awarded a full scholarship grant with daily allowances. Selection will be based on an Admissions Interview, Admissions Exam, and Financial Need Assessment, with priority given to applicants from low-income households. Shortlisted candidates will undergo a final interview before scholarship grants are awarded.

ALT continues to deliver its TESDA-accredited Food and Beverage Services NC II program, alongside the newly launched Housekeeping NC II program in partnership with Holiday Inn Express Manila, which are both set to accept applicants starting April 27, 2026. The four-month courses will provide students with hands-on training across Newport World Resorts’ international hotel brands Manila Marriott Hotel, Hotel Okura Manila, Hilton Manila, Sheraton Manila Hotel, and Holiday Inn Express Manila.

Classes are conducted at the Academy for Leisure and Tourism on the 2F Horizon Centre, Newport World Resorts, where learners are supported with modern training facilities, professional uniforms, and training kits.
